Have your good dog’s or furbulous feline’s medication increased?  Are their Vet visits or medical procedures gone up over the year or maybe gone up more that once in the past year? Today we are yapping about the high cost of pet care due to the rise in corporate owned Vet Clinics. 

Did you nose that billion-dollar corporations backed by private equity are exploiting our human pawrents, driving up prices, & compromising care among lax regulations & regulatory loopholes.  At the forefront of this is a UK-based veterinary provider, forming the largest veterinary conglomerate globally, VetStrategy & IVC Evidensia.

We all nose that a corporation’s only mandate is to make $money$ for the share holders.  These corporations also own pet food companies, Vet Emergency Hospitals, pet pharmacies & distributors. They make all the decisions in our care & the cost of our care.  You may be prescribed a food or drug because that is what your Vet is told to prescribe or you may be sent to a specialist who simply owned by the corporation &  not because of their expertise.

This isn’t just in Canada.  It is happening all over the world.  It’s time for us to Bark Out for a change before more fur leggers lose their families because they can’t afford the cost of care or worse, lose their life.

Shelters are bursting with furmily members people are surrendering because they can’t afford treatment or surgies their loved furlegger needs.  Older people are buying their  good dog’s or furbulous cat’s food & medication while doing without proper nutriene or medication they need.
