CEO Olivia here this week yapping about what supplements I take.
I do take quite a few & all of them are added to my meals which I receive twice a day; plus snacks of course. I will begin with Vitamin E which is a nutrient that’s impawtant to vision & the health of my blood, brain & skin. Vitamin E also has antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are human-made or natural substances that may pawvent or delay some types of cell damage.
In the morning huMom adds non GMO Sunflower Lecithin Powder to my breakfast. Sunflower lecithin contains some vitamins & minerals that our body needs, such as potassium, phosphorus & fatty acids. It can help with absorption of choline & fat-soluble vitamins & also can assist in digestion. Sunflower lecithin is a pawsome source of choline which is pawsitively impawtant when it comes to brain health because it’s the precursor to acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in learning & memory.
In both meals I receive Omega Alpha‘s SinewPet. This is a newer supplement for me that I started to take last year after hurting myself while pawtrolling the yard for SQUIRRELS. After dogscussing the supplement with Omega Alpha‘s Joanne Carr, R.H.N., B.A., ESC we learned that SinewPet is a complete Joint Care & Health Complex + D-Chondroitin, D-Glucosamine, MSM, Hyaluronic Acid & Collagen that can be taken daily not just for repairing an injury. It has been a wooftastic addition to my healthcare. It is suitable for both us dogs & cats.
Additionally, I also get Omega Alpha‘s Probiotic 8 Plus in both meals. It’s pawmotes good digestion & feeds the good bacteria in my gut. Pawtastic for the bowels, indigestion & gas issues, & intestinal disorders. It supports the liver, urinary tract, bladdder & kidneys. Wagnificent for behaviour & cognitive health. As well as for endurance, energy & strength. It’s also pawriffic for my skin & coat. HuMom is often heard saying, ‘If I could only give Olivia one supplement, it would be Probiotic 8 Plus.’ Probiotic 8 Plus is suitable for both us dogs & cats.
My meals are homemade & starts with WellyChef Natural Dog Food Base. WellyChef makes a Olivia Special Blend for us that excludes the rosemary & quinoa in their regular WellyChef Natural Dog Food Base. To ensure my diet is nutritionally balanced huMom adds Omega Alpha‘s Nutrify. It can be added to homemade raw or cooked cat or dog food, & it may also be added to commercially pawpared wet cat or dog foods. It’s a wagnificent way to make sure I get all the nutrients I need in each meal.
Taurine is also added to my meals. It’s especially impawtant for us Epilepsy Warriors as there is evidence showing a decline in taurine levels during seizure breakthroughs. Taurine has impawtant functions in the heart & brain. It helps support nerve growth. We nose how hard seizures are on an Epilepsy Warrior’s heart & brain; this is a must supplement as far as huMom is concerned.
As well, huMom adds Golden Paste to each of my meals. She pawpares a batch & keeps it in the refrigerator. It’s made of organic coconut oil, organic turmeric, organic black pepper & water. It’s pawtastic for joints. It’s works as an anti-inflammatory & aids with arthritic conditions. Its pawsome for our intestines & stomach & is high in Iron, Fiber, Vitamin K, Potassium & Zinc. The black pepper aids the digestion while the turmeric aids bacterial infections. Turmeric enhances overall functions of the pancreas, spleen & liver while black pepper increases enzyme secretions of the pancreas which aids digestion.
