Hello everyone, CEO Olivia here. Today is a holiday here in Canada in celebration of Queen Victoria’s Birthday. The tradition is to light of fireworks, so today I want to remind everyone that most of us good dogs don’t like fireworks.
Fireworks are very loud & sound like thunder to good dogs. Running away or trying to hide from the noise is a survival instinct. We just want to get away from those awful sounds. A terrified dog will run away given the chance. Pounds & shelters sometimes get a few lost dogs right after a firework display.
If you are celebrating with fireworks I would like to suggest you keep your good dog home & inside where it will feel safe; preferably not alone. Be sure to close the windows to lessen the sound. If your dog feels safe in a covered crate or under the bed, then by all means give them the option. My late furriend Micky Moo used to hide in the bathtub. Putting your good dog in it’s Thundershirt before the fireworks begin is a good option too. Lavender oil waived under the nose or in a diffuser can also have a calming effect. You could also use Adaptil to calm your good dog.
Stay safe this holiday.
CEO Olivia ❤
When I was a little kid, my sweet dog-brother Otto, insisted to spend New Years in the closet behind the coats.

We HATE fireworks. It’s so terrifying for pets and many military veterans. We’re with you, Olivia!

HuMom is drafting a letter to local council regarding future fireworks that cost a large amount of $$$ requesting an alternative such as a laser light show that would create zero waste & less fear/anxiety. It’s time to move forward & transition out of old traditions that no longer good for our communities;; 2 legged, 4 legged or winged 🐾💜🐾

That sounds like a much better alternative and a win-win or all. We hope your huMom is successful. 🤞🏼
