Happy New Year, It’s the Year of the Dog

Today is the Chinese New Year. Best of all, we are heading into the year of the dog. The Chinese Zodiac is made up of twelve animals & follows a twelve year cycle. It also has five elements, Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, & Earth that come in a 60 year cycle. This is the year of the Earth Dog. Some famous humans that are “dogs” include Steven Spielberg , Madonna & the late Michael Jackson.

The Chinese zodiac sign of the Dog is a symbol of intelligence & protection. A Dog’s most defining characteristic is their loyalty. They will never abandon their friends, family or work.

Honest & just, they are popular in social circles. Everyone needs a Dog friend for advice & help. They are also good at helping others find & fix their bad habits.

Despite how they act, they are worried & anxious inside. However, they will not let this stop them. Once they decide on something, no one can persuade them against it.

That’s very interesting. Happy Year of the Dog to everyone. “Kung Hei Fat Choi”, which means Congratulations & be prosperous.

Special bark out to the Cricket & lucky Show for making today’s banner.

Joyful Good Dogs

Canine Culture

February has arrived & it’s going to be a busy month. Hi everyone, CEO Olivia here. The Chinese Year of the Dog begins this month. There’s also Valentines day & for those so inclined, there’s Mardi Gras which means, “fat Tuesday”. My “gotcha day” is also this month.

I’ve noticed the days are getting longer again so the warm months aren’t all that far off. This makes me happy, so today I want to share some dog photo’s that I think express pure joy.

As always, have a safe & wooftastic weekend.

Happy New Year

Another year has come & gone. Hi everyone, CEO Olivia here. Along with everyone at Knotty Toys for Good Dogs, I want to wish everybody a joyful, wooftastic new year. We barked in the New Years Eve snuggled by the wood stove. We are experiencing what huMom is calling a cold snap. I don’t remember it ever being so cold. Just doing my business is proving to be too long outside.

This month I will be barking out about keeping your good dog or cat safe & warm this winter. I will be sniffing out this season’s furbulous warm fashions. Suzie Q & I will share some boredom buster ideas for the long days stuck inside & I will also be pointing out some winter safety tips & precautions that come with these cold months.

But for today, I’m heading back to my wood stove. Suzie Q, Jerry Underfoot, Dottie & G.G., are saving me a spot.

Again, all of us here at Knotty Toys for Good Dogs wish everyone all the very best for 2018. It’s going to be the Year of the Dog you know.
