Hello everyone, CEO Olivia yapping about the impawtance of having non toxic beds & stuffed toys for your good dog or cool cat.
Let’s look at beds first. Just like dog & cat toys there are a lot of poor quality, down right toxic products on the market. But even high quality beds can contain toxic chemicals that can harm your good dog or cool cat.
You see, the problem with many dog & cat beds is that they are treated with flame retardant chemicals. These chemicals gas off over time, meaning a snuggled in good dog or cool cat is breathing them in as they nap. Prolonged exposure can damage the brain, reproductive organs, the thyroid gland, the immune system, liver, & pancreas. They have also been linked to certain types of cancer.
Toys are often made from artificial fabrics such as nylon which is basically, plastic. Plastics break down into toxic micro dust. Chewing on a nylon toy if your a dog or licking one if your a cat can lead to ingesting these micro particles.
Inside dog & cat toys you might find foam or some kind of shredded plant fibre. Foams gas off too as they brake down & shavings may not have been cleaned before becoming stuffing; the plant they came from may have been processed with carcinogens. I won’t even bark about some of the horrors we have heard & read about many toys made for dogs, cats & human babies.
When pawchasing products for your four legger, it’s impawtant to go all natural whenever possible. When my huMom realised my epilepsy could be triggered by environmental toxins, she started Knotty Toys for Good Dogs. We use natural, chemical free hemp & USDA organic cotton in our toys.

Knotty Nips are made from tough hemp linen stuffed with hemp fiber & organic catnip, sewn up with USDA certified organic cotton thread. Finished off with a hemp thread tail! All our toys are individually & loveingly handmade. Their finished size: 2″ x2 1/2″ approximately. These meowsome cat toys are sold singlely or in packs of 3s.
Both Dot & Jerry Underfoot pawsitively love our Knotty Kitty Kicker. These Earth friendly furtasticly fun kitty kickers are purrfect prey play for any feline. Knotty Kitty Kickers are made from tough hemp canvas stuffed with 4 balls of hemp fiber (8grams), with human grade organic catnip (8grams) spooned in between each ball, & sewn with USDA certified organic cotton thread. Again, they are lovingly handmade & when finished are size: 2″ X 9.5″ or 5.8cm X 24.13cm approximately.
