Olivia’s Annual Silent Auction for the Wally Foundation

News

Hello everyone, CEO Olivia reporting. November is Epilepsy Awareness Month & to play my part in raising canine epilepsy awareness I’m pleased to announce that Knotty Toys for Good Dogs will once again be holding my annual silent auction for The Wally Foundation ~ Canine Epilepsy.

The Wally Foundation provides financial assistance and/or donated medications for those who struggle with the ongoing, high cost of epilepsy medications & treatment. No one should have to choose between food or medication for their epileptic dog or cat. Nor should anyone have to surrender or euthanize a beloved companion due to the ongoing cost of meds.
The Wally Foundation also provides a wagnificent online community for those living with canine epilepsy. A pawtastic place for sharing information, pawsonal stories highs & lows, & support.
Here’s how you can pawticipate in my auction. Starting Monday November 16th, you can go to my Facebook page, Oh, the Life of Olivia, there you’ll see the post for the auction pinned to the top of the page. You will see pictures of each prize being auctioned with it’s minimum bid. Click on the picture of the prize you wish to bid on & post your bid in the comments. If someone outbids you, just post a higher bid. We will cut off bidding at Midnight, November 28th & will announce the winners on Monday, November 30th. We’re Not Just Toys Any More

News

Hello everyone, Olivia here, as most of you know I am the Canine Executive Officer (CEO) of Knotty Toys for Good Dogs. When my huMom & I started this business five years ago, our only offering was our wooftastic all natural hemp rope toys.

But we have grown, we now also sell a wide range of supplements for good dogs & cool cats which are made by a pawsome Canadian company called, Omega/Alpha. On top of that we sell Welly Chef all natural base mix. The health & well being of all good dogs & cool cats is impawtant to us.

We are also affiliate partners with both Charlotte’s Web CBD products & CBD Dog Health products. CBD oil is proving to be an effective weapon in the fight against the epilepsy monster.

Speaking of epilepsy, November will be here soon & that means Epilepsy Awareness Month will be here. We will once again be holding an online silent auction to raise money for the Wally Foundation ~ Canine Epilepsy. It’s our charity of choice. They provide assistance to qualifying families who struggle with the high cost of AED’s (anti epileptic drugs). We share their belief that no one should have to surrender a family member because they can’t afford the medications.

If you haven’t sniffed out my online store in a while please do. Come November, we will be rolling out our silent auction. I hope you pawticipate. Anyone wishing to donate an item(s) can message us here or through our Facebook page, Instagram or email. It’s for a pawtacular cause.

Fostering Can Help Shelters During COVID-19

News

Hello everyone, CEO Olivia reporting. Like everything else Animal Shelters & Rescues are feeling the effects of the events unfolding. Donations are down & in some places, volunteer visits are restricted.

Donations are always needed, especially now but what would be even more beneficial is adopting or fostering an animal. One less mouth to feed can reduce the financial stress at a shelter or rescue. There are many animals, not just cats & dogs in shelters. Rats, bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs & birds just to name a few.

Consider your neighbors too. Can you foster a pet if their human is hospitalized?

Of course with fostering there is always the risk of becoming a ‘foster failure’. That’s when you fall hopelessly in love with your foster & fully adopt a new best furiend. How horrible. BOL!!!

I encourage anyone who could possibly provide a home for an animal, any animal to do so during these troubling times. It can be a wonderful experience having a four legged companion, one that will enrich your lives.

If you already have a full home, consider making a donation to your local shelter. See if you can volunteer too. Make a call, see how you can help.

I would also ask at this time for you to consider making a donation to the Wally Foundation ~ Canine Epilepsy. They are seeing a rising number of requests for financial help as more humans are laid off work. The epilepsy monster doesn’t take a break & AED’s (anti epilepsy drugs) are costly.

Remember, we are all in this together.

Stay home if you’ve been told too.
