HuMom will no doubt yap on about the balance of color & texture or the wooftastic detail in these pawtacular oil paintings, yet the first thing I thought was, ‘these creatures are both unreal as they are pawsitively natural.’ Hi CEO Olivia here today to bark about the fetching & unusual creatures of Los Angeles-based artist Jon Ching.
Although I will pawdominantly pawsenting 4 leggers pieces Ching’s feathered & fin creatures are equally wagnificent. His work dogpicts a pawsome ecosystem that visualizes the symbiotic relationships between flora & fauna (I know, big words for a dog; truth, Dot & Jerry Underfoot helped me). Jon Ching has said about his own work, “My more surreal creatures, where the line between flora & fauna are blurred, is in part my attempt at depicting some of this unseen magic”.
Let’s take a sniff at what I dug up.
I had to share this one. How did this creature get my treat ball?
This one is for huMom; I know it will make her laugh. I hope it makes you giggle too.
Want to sniff out more pawsome work of Jon Ching? Paw his website or Yo can on Instagram.
Have a pawsome weekend. Remember to be gnawsome, be kind & stay safe.
