Sara Pulver

Canine Culture

Today’s Outsider Artist work caught huMom’s attention instantly & of course when she shared it with Dot, Jerry Underfoot & myself, CEO Olivia we all agreed Sara Pulver was a pawfect choice for this week’s artist. Everyone needs a good dog smile & this artist is purrfect for the job😸

The term Outsider Art is often used interchangeably with the term ‘folk art.’  There is a difference, however, that being folk artist have some form of training while outsider artists are self-taught.  We value both  💜 nose nudges 💜

Sara is an accomplished artist who has been painting for over 30 years & selling her wagnificent pieces on the internet since 2001.  HuMom pawsitively loves her hairlarious not to mention clever play on roles.  The thick rich chunkiness of colors & attention to detail peaks a childlike view of possibilities.  HuMom said she’s attracted to her sense of humor & basic style; it feels naturally welcoming yet there’s more to meet the eye.

Her work can be sniffed out on eBay & on her Etsy store 3crows.

Before you wander off to dig out some of her pawsome pieces we wanted to share with you some of our favorites. It was hard not to share them all; each one makes one of us BOL, MOL or LOL 🤣

We hope we made you smile if not giggle even just a little bit.

Have a safe, wooftastic weekend. CEO Olivia 💜

  1. Lulu: “Hmm, in those opposite worlds from the paintings, would we dogs and cats be the ones who would have to go to jobs and do chores and stuff?”
Charlee: “Is that worth the trade-off of being able to eat whenever and whatever we want?”
    Chaplin: “Hmmmmm …”
