Here we are, alreading in the month of August.  Good afternoon, Dot & Jerry Underfoot here.  Did you nose August is National Dog Month? It is, our furiend Wilson of Tails Around The Ranch told us. He has a wagnificent blog; we recommend you paw on over & follow him.

Back to National Dog Month. It’s a time to celebrate & appreciate all wooftastic dogs. It’s a month dedicated to our canine furiends, recognizing the joy, companionship, & pawsitive impact they bring to our lives. We  miss our Olivia & Jerry so much but each day we take time to honor & rejoice in our love for them.

 

 

This month is a time to celebrate & shower your good dog with attention, treats & extra loving.  Spend quality time with them.  Extra walks, play ball & cuddle as much as pawsible.  Spoil them with treats & toys.  Go to the park & visit their pupfuriends.

 

 

It’s also a time to raise awareness about responsible care, training & socialization.  Let’s not forget about showing support to the volunteers who dedicate their time to dog shelters & rescue organizations.  This is the purrfect  time  to donate & incourage others to do so as well. The best thing a human could do is to adopt a shelter dog or foster.  There are so many pawtastic dogs who want to share a life with you &  need your love &  support.
