Dot & Jerry Underfoot meowing on this March 26th Purple Day.
What is PURPLE DAY? you may ask. Hi Dot & Jerry Underfoot here today to mew about just that. We nose, we don’t normally publish on Thursdays but that’s how pawtastic PURPLE DAY is.
PURPLE DAY is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. Every year people & furleggers in countries around the world are invited to wear purple & host events in support of epilepsy awareness on March 26th. More than 85 countries on all continents pawticipated in Purple Day last year. Canada, where we are from is the only country in the world who officially recognizes March 26th as Purple Day through the Purple Day Act implemented on June 28, 2012. To dig up more we suggest pawing on over to PURPLEDAY.ORG
This year’s Purple Day blog hop includes FurAngel Gibson of Fivesibes, & Angel Ru of Ruby The Therapy Dog, Gibbs of GIBBS-erish…Making Sense of Canine Epilepsy, & of course our fursister, Olivia of Oh, The Life of Olivia.
Why is canine epilepsy awareness impawtant?
Awareness helps their humans recognize subtle pre-seizure behaviours, reduces, & improves the quality of life for both dogs & their caregivers by fostering better vet communication & decreasing caregiver’s anxieties.
We nose that the more information huMom gathered, having a protocol & developing a community helped her to feel better in control which helped with focusing on Olivia’s well being instead of being overwhelmed with fear.
We want to remind you that there are many blog post on our Resource page dealing with Canine Epilepsy.

As well, we have our Free Ebooks that are helpful especially for those new to Epilepsy.
Let’s not forget our furbulous caregivers. We nose Olivia always knew huMom loved her & would do anything for her. We nose that is true for you as well, so please remember to read Taking Care of The Caregiver🐾💜🐾

A beautiful and informative post. We will always think of dear beautiful Olivia. I absolutely LOVE that pic of you and her nose-to-nose. So precious. 💜 Thank you for continuing your advocacy, sharing important Canine Epilepsy info, and for joining us as a co-host again this year. Our Epi-angels will always be a part of us and continue to help other #Epidogs on their journey. I’ve linked this post up to my blog hop on my page, too. Hugs!
