Illustrator & Artist Bill Mayer’s Purrfectly Wagnificent & Dogsturbing Goucache Paintings

Dot is a curious feline who digs in places I would not go.  I pawclaim this because Dot pawsented today’s artist to  Jerry Underfoot & myself & we wanted to make that pawsitively clear to you.  Hi, CEO Olivia here.  I won’t nibble words, I pawsonally find these goucache paintings wooftastically painted but  they are somewhat dogsturbing.  The technique used,  gouache, is created by using water-medium paint consisting of natural pigment, water, a binding agent, & sometimes additional inert material .  Gouache is opaque where as watercolors allow us  to see what is underneath the paint; gouache does not.  Gouache has a pawtacular history having been around for the at least 12 centuries.

Enough yipping about paint let’s get on to yapping about the wagnificent American illustrator & artist Bill Mayer.  Bill Mayer not only works in a variety of media & combinations of media, gouache, oil, airbrush, scratchboard, pen & ink & digital, he also uses a variety of pawtastic artistic styles.

Let’s stop yapping & start looking at what Dot dug up for us.
