My huMom was laughing at a comic so I had to see too. She was laughing at a dog named, “Grimm”. Some research was in order.
Mother Goose & Grimm is a comic strip that revolves around a yellow Bull Terrier named Grimm, owned by an anthropomorphic goose named Mother Goose, along with a dimwitted Boston Terrier named Ralph & a cat named Attila who Grimm delights in irritating.
Grimm is everyone’s dog, recognizable to dog owners around the world. He is a dog who believes that garbage cans are a personal invitation to a nine-course banquet, that the primary function of a car is to be chased, & that toilets are large porcelain water bowls. Grimm is also an irresistible prankster.
Grimm enjoys virtually every indulgence that life has to offer: overeating, carousing, chasing after cars (mostly) & running everyone around him ragged.
Mother Goose & Grimm was created by cartoonist Mike Peters, He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, where his mother, Charlotte Peters, was a local television personality with one of the earliest TV talk shows. Accompanying his mother to the studio, he met such celebrities as Bob Hope and Jerry Lewis.
In 1981, Mike Peters won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning.
