Hi everyone, welcome to Friday, CEO Olivia here. South African photographer Steve Benjamin generally uses his background in Zoology to capture the underwater lives of sharks, whales & dolphins. But due to quarantine restrictions because of the ongoing threat of COVID-19, the Cape Town-based photographer has shifted his focus to the feathered animals visiting his backyard.
The result is a stunning series of portraits captured using the same techniques as underwater photography. Benjamin established a backyard miniature studio for his feathered visitors by positioning a feeder in a small sunny area with nearby shade, plenty of blooming flowers, & twig perches.
You can see the full series on Benjamin’s website, in addition he also shares lots of of wildlife shots on Instagram.
Have a pawsome weekend.
